In LoCBio we are seeking a person to join our permanent staff to carry out tasks in research, development, and innovation. We are a young biotechnological start-up within the LAB+ Company Builder portfolio and incubated at the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo. We specialize in developing new Synthetic Biology tools for cellular reprogramming with the aim of producing next-generation therapies against cancer that are more potent, precise, and safe than current ones.
We are looking for someone with a completed postgraduate degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields, who is responsible, proactive, and highly motivated to join our team with a commitment of 40 hours per week, tentatively starting on October 1, 2024. Autonomy in the laboratory and experience in molecular biology, cell biology, laboratory animal handling, flow cytometry, and microscopy will be valued.
In this role the researcher will:
• Work independently and as part of a team of researchers.
• Assist in current research projects.
• Participate in research and development stages of new projects.
• Conduct in vitro and in vivo studies for the design and evaluation of biosensors and synthetic circuits in prokaryotic, eukaryotic, and/or animal models.
