Young members of the first four startups supported by LAB+ shared in a video how they apply creativity and innovation in their work.
“Science is not only about following protocols; it is also about imagining what does not yet exist. Every experiment is a mix of logic, intuition, and creativity. Try, adjust, and try again”, said Joaquín Hurtado, a member of Guska.
“The search for solutions when an experiment does not yield the expected results is what led us to develop an innovative process”, added Valentina Blanco, a member of B4-RNA.
“I highlight a very open and exploratory way of approaching problems, where no idea is dismissed for being unconventional”, said Mateo Bertolotti, a member of Locbio.
“Sometimes experiments do not produce the results we expect, and in those cases what we need to do is open our minds, think outside the box, and propose a new hypothesis to understand the steps we need to take to test it”, said Ricardo López of Scaffold Biotech.
