Guska S.A.S is a biotechnological start-up from the LAB+ Company Builder’s Portfolio, that specializes in the design and development of innovative therapies against cancer. We utilize the latest advancements in genetic engineering and synthetic biology to design viruses that infect and destroy cancerous cells, inducing an anti-tumor immune response without harming normal cells. The process spans from in silico design to in vitro and in vivo testing.
Guska is an incubated company at the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo, and we are currently seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technical Assistant to join our team starting from August 1, 2024, with a commitment of 30 hours per week.

In this role you will be responsible for:
• Assisting in the research conducted at Guska S.A.S.
• Preparation, maintenance, and inventory management of materials, supplies, and reagents.
• Participation in the research and development stages of various innovative projects.
• Conducting in vitro and in vivo studies.
• Collaborating with other scientists and researchers.
We are looking for a person with:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields (completed or in final stages).
• Previous experience working in a laboratory, especially in molecular and cellular biology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
