Locbio took part in SynBioBeta, in Silicon Valley

Felipe Trajtenberg and Dayana Benchoam, from the startup Locbio, attended SynBioBeta (The Global Synthetic Biology Conference), which was held in Silicon Valley.

In addition, Trajtenberg was a panelist on “How Latin America Is Building Biotech Power‑Hubs,” alongside representatives from The Ganesah Lab, GRIDX, Allbiotech, and SynBioBR.

The conference brings together over 2,000 people from at least 50 countries and aims to build a community among entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and investors working in synthetic biology.

The event was especially relevant for Locbio, which uses synthetic biology to reprogram cells so they can carry out specific tasks. Through this approach, biotherapeutic products—such as probiotics to fight colorectal cancer—can be developed.
